MARIAN “MARIO” MARINICA now has a full complement of his Warriors squad following the arrival of European-based players in Morocco ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Romanian gaffer spent three weeks without eight of his regulars who are based in Europe due to the new FIFA player release protocols.
And now with four days before Zimbabwe plunge into the AFCON battle with an opening fixture against Egypt in Group B on Monday, the former Malawi coach has his full squad firm on the ground.
Seven of the players have since linked up with the 20 who left the country on Tuesday while Sean Fusire is scheduled to arrive before lunchtime.
In a brief statement, ZIFA said: “The Warriors camp continues to build momentum with the arrival of the following foreign-based players:
“Bill Antonio, Tawanda Chirewa, Tawanda Maswanhise, Andy Rinomhota, Brendan Galloway, Jonah Fabisch, and Munashe Garananga.
“Their arrival strengthens squad depth as preparations intensify.
Sean Fusire is expected to join camp before lunch today.”
