Ex-ZANU PF Manicaland PC Mapamba dies

FORMER ZANU PF Manicaland provincial Political Commissar (PC) and Chipinge District Coordinating Committee (DCC) chair, Cde Simon Mapamba Mapfumo has died.

He was 67.

Cde Mapamba, who held the DCC Chipinge District chairmanship as well as provincial PC positions in his political career, was also a farmer at Farm 36, Middle Sabi in Chipinge.

Former Chipinge South legislator as well as party NCA member Cde Enock Porusingazi said: ‘We have lost a dedicated cadre who worked consistently for the party in Chipinge District, the province and the nation at large. He will be sorely missed. Funeral arrangements are still being organised.”

He was survived by his wife and six children and 10 grandchildren.
