FC Hunters have been crowned the 2025 Pacific Storm ZIFA Eastern Region Division One League champions, earning a ticket to play in the top-flight league next season.
This historic achievement marks the town of Marondera’s first-ever Premiership team since the country’s independence in 1980.
The team’s promotion was sealed after a thrilling 2-1 win over rivals Tenax FC in a penultimate league encounter played at Rudhaka Stadium in Marondera today.
Prior to today’s encounter, the two teams were separated by two points, and FC Hunters’ triumph leaves them with an unassailable five-point lead at the summit of the table going into the last round of league fixtures next weekend.
