Afro-fusion singer Feli Nandi is basking in the glory of dressing the second Jamaican artistes for a local music show.
Feli made her handmade African prints after dressing prominent Jamaican reggae and dancehall artiste, Busy Signal for the Kadoma Music Festival.
“Mr Busy Signal is officially ‘Mukomana Wemarokwe’!
“Dressed by yours truly, ‘Musikana we Marokwe,” wrote Feli Nandi in a social media post.
Busy Signal wore a blue and black men’s wear with African prints and a blend of traditional and modern style.
He complimented his outfit with a black durag and black Nike kicks.
The Jamaican star oozed a strong African appeal while donning the attire, a feat that Feli Nandi’s fans feel has projected well on the international scene. “This is pure greatness, in the making. Please keep it up Feli Nandi, you inspire a lot of young girls,” said one fan, Tafadzwa Knowledge.
John Kiesher added; “Big shout out to you sis, Feli Nandi, well done on dressing Busy Signal,”
Feli Nandi says nothing gives her a sense of pride rather than watching her brand grow. “I am surrounded by a good team, I have a collection teams who know what they are supposed to do and I am happy to have them,”
She has also hinted on a new collaboration with an upcoming artist she met via TikTok.
“We are releasing a nice song soon, I did a collaboration with an upcoming artist, he is very new, anonzi Muna Gwande.
“I met him on TikTok, the boy has less than 300 followers but I don’t think Zimbabwe is ready to hear him. He has such an amazing voice and I look forward to the collaboration,” said Feli Nandi. The songbird who has gained significant recognition in the local music scene for her soulful voice and rich compositions has also been included on the list of performing acts at the Makhadzi-One Woman Show-in Limpopo in December.
