All is set for songstress, Feli Nandi’s second album launch tomorrow at 7 Arts Theatre in Avondale.
The album, titled “Ndisiyei”, is a testimony of the diva’s journey in the music industry.
“Ndisiyei” has nine tracks, with the song “Vakaita Sewe” being a dedication to her friend’s son Tinaye Chibaya, an 11-year-old boy whose tragic death touched the hearts of thousands of people last year.
Tinaye died due to head injuries sustained after he was dragged by a horse he was riding during a family outing during the Easter holiday.
Yesterday Feli released visuals of “Muranda” a song from the album.
Earlier this week, she teased her fans with photos that looked like she had just gotten married. It has turned out that the photos are from the video of “Muranda”.
“Ndisiyei” is her second studio album following “Inzwi”, her debut album.
In an interview, Feli’s manager Connie Mazani said the stage is set for the album launch, adding that the team is happy with the endorsements and support they are getting from fans.
“The day has finally come and we are happy that the album is ready. All roads lead to 7 Arts Theatre tomorrow and we have so much prepared for our fans,” said Mazani.
“Most of the songs narrate true events. So we can say the theme is about real-life experiences, touching on the loss of death and suicide.
“We encourage fans to come and witness the launch of this grand album. On this album, there is some experimentation with some new sounds, which is another surprise.”
The album features songs like “Tongai”, “Munamato”, “Ndisiyei”, “Ahungasiye”, “Kukoromoka”, “Muranda”, “Shwamwari”, Fambai Neni” and “Vakaita Sewe”.
“I am so excited about the album. I prepared for it over two years and finally it is ready, so it is going to be an epic night,” she said.
“This has been a personal journey narrated in songs. I heard a lot of people say they connect with our songs. This album is talking to everyone and relating to every situation, everyone has a story to pick from it.”
Last year, the “Mubayei” hit-maker became a regular fixture at Doek & Slay events and successfully staged a nationwide tour.
She also headlined big events like the OK Grand Challenge and Chibuku Road to Fame national finals.
Feli also crossed the country’s borders, performing in Germany at the Moto Moto Festival and in the UK.
