West Properties Zimbabwe yesterday took a huge step in fulfilling its mandate and responsibility to provide decent, but state-of-the-art housing to its customers by officially opening the Pokugara Residential Estate in Borrowdale.

The opening of the Pokugara Residential Eastate will allow low income earners to purchase residential stands at affordable prices.

In his speech, the company’s chief executive officer Mr Kenny Sharpe said the announcement of the milestone signifies an important point in the history of housing.

“Despite the soothsayers and the antagonists who tried to stop us, we are here, we have made it finally and we are at a point of no departure,” he said.

The company’s operations manager Mrs Tatiana Aleshina said owning a home was a keystone of wealth, both financial affluence and emotional security.

“Indeed this adage is relevant on this great reception and congregation,” she said. “It is indeed a great day for both management and those that graced this occasion.”

He said over the years, as West Properties they have taken the mandate and responsibility to provide decent and state-of-the-art housing.

“As a company established in 2007, we are at the forefront of property development companies in Harare and Zimbabwe,” said Mrs Aleshina. “Our business model is the role of master planner, financier and developer of appropriately designed, sustainably built residential and commercial properties.

“I want to exceptionally thank our brand ambassadors for their great work in making the brand West Properties a reliable and most sought after housing development company.”

Mrs Aleshina said her company’s mission was to delight customers with the latest sustainable innovation incorporating modern designs in residential and commercial offerings in Zimbabwe.

“This is indeed a great day for those who will occupy Pokugara residential stands,” she said. “Indeed, our valued clients and customers have found a safe haven based on their investment. In the Shona vernacular Pokugara means accommodation.”

The event was also graced by West Properties brand ambassador Jah Prayzah, who was the guest of honour.
