The Institute of African Knowledge (INSTAK) has announced the installation of towering columns that will support the country’s first-ever 360-degree’ rotating restaurant, marking a landmark moment in the country’s architectural and cultural history.

In a statement recently, INSTAK said the restaurant will be situated on the fourth floor of the Museum of African Liberation in Harare.

The cylindrical venue, inspired by the traditional African clay pot, will become the highest dining destination in Zimbabwe, offering guests an uninterrupted, scenic view of the capital’s skyline.

“This tourism and hospitality game-changer complements Liberation City’s educational, heritage and hospitality outlook,” read the statement.

The steel and concrete superstructure of the Museum continues its steady rise, and it is scheduled for completion on April 30 next year.

“The Museum of African Liberation is an enduring tribute to the continent’s liberation struggles and heroes,” making it the best venue for the African union Mid-Year Summit set for July 2027

Backed by President Mnangagwa and the Government, it has attracted endorsement from over 20 countries.

This ambitious plan is more than a culinary project, it is set to incorporate the “Heritage Village, Liberation Mall, an African-themed Amusement Park, an Animal Park, a five-star hotel and world-class Presidential Villas, amongst other amenities and attractions.”
