Floppy Flaws formulates new genre in latest single

Bulawayo-born and Harare-based fast-rising musician Floppy Flaws is set to release a new single titled iLongdistance, featuring rapper Tinzoe DS and produced by Maask Djyc. The single is slated for release at the end of June.

This track marks an exciting new chapter for Floppy Flaws as he unveils a new genre he calls Kasibeats, a unique blend of modern and contemporary rhythms crafted to connect deeply with his audience.

Speaking about the single, the Egoli hitmaker shared: “iLongdistance serves as a vibrant introduction to the Kasibeats genre. It explores the theme of reassurance within a long-distance relationship. The story follows a hardworking young man who, despite being physically apart from his partner, continually reassures her of their strong bond and his unwavering commitment.”

He further explained the narrative: “The boy moves from Bulawayo to rural areas in search of employment, encountering challenges along the way. Yet, his support and love for his partner remain steadfast. He reminds her that distance cannot weaken their connection, encouraging trust and faith in their relationship.”
Floppy Flaws described the song as a heartfelt message for young couples, reinforcing the idea that true love can overcome obstacles, including physical separation.
