FORMER Zifa vice president, OMEGA Sibanda has urged the national association to respect the constitution and assembly.

Sibanda believes Zifa have had a bad start and one of their challenges is usurping powers of the assembly.
“They are making decisions and pronouncements that the assembly has powers on and not executive.

The constitution is clear, the assembly is the supreme law making organ governing the game.
“They need to follow the constitution so that they run football smoothly, there are a number of areas that they have fallen foul of the constitution,” said Sibanda.

He said following the black and white in the constitution makes football governance very easy.
Sibanda said the elections matter was not done the proper way as did the bid to have the Premier Soccer League increase teams to 20.
