French dance company DANS6T, administered by Sofiane Bouteldja, is heading to Zimbabwe as part of its Southern African tour. The troupe will share the stage with Bulawayo’s No Name Dance Crew at Alliance Française on August 30.

DANS6T has already performed in Gaborone, Botswana (August 23), and is in Stellenbosch today before heading to Port Elizabeth tomorrow. The group will then perform in Harare on August 29, followed by Durban on September 1, Maseru, Lesotho, on September 4, and will wrap up the tour with a final performance in Windhoek, Namibia.

Founded in 2001 by Bouziane Bouteldja, a choreographer, writer, and artistic director, DANS6T is renowned for productions that explore the pulse of contemporary society. Their works address themes such as diversity, discrimination, religion, migration, and death, using dance as a mirror to reflect life’s realities.

In a statement, DANS6T confirmed their Bulawayo performance and shared what audiences can expect.
“Bulawayo, let’s come in numbers to witness dance and storytelling. At the end of the event, the audience will be invited to join us in some of the dances, reminding us that dance has connected humanity throughout history. We will also showcase a step created by Bouziane Bouteldja called Le Jungle, performing it in different dance styles and music genres.”
