GOSPEL DJ Unlocked, a UK-based Zimbabwean, is being accused of bullying local gospel stars.
Her real name is Fungai Lee Kampira.
The DJ has unleashed a storm of attacks on gospel artists.
It all began after Joyful Praise Choir won Best Group gong at the National Arts Merit Awards.
Instead of celebrating their win, Gospel DJ Unlocked mocked the choir online, calling them “wolves in sheep’s clothing.”
This has provoked a storm of fury in the local gospel industry.
“This was completely uncalled for,” said a source.
“Who made her the judge of God’s people?”
Several artists have publicly severed ties, demanding she must stop using their music or names.
“Do not use our songs. Do not associate us with your platform,” one artist told her.
“You have destroyed your own career.”
Others accuse her of jealousy and clout-chasing. “This is pure envy,” one producer said. “She’s attacking successful artists because she envies them.”
