CHICKEN INN skipper Xolani “Lolo” Ndlovu has thrown down the gauntlet ahead of a fiery end-of-season derby against Highlanders.
He insists the Gamecocks will not be bullied into relegation.
The showdown, set for Barbourfields on Sunday, has become a straight fight for survival.
Eight teams are still trapped in the danger zone.
Bosso and Chicken Inn sit level on 38 points, although Highlanders have the edge with a +1 goal difference. Chicken Inn are on -2, a gap Lolo says they are ready to flip.
“We are in a 50-50 situation. It’s a local derby that will decide our fate,” said the outspoken left back.
He said this is the moment the team must show heart.
“All I can say is a must win match for us and we are greatly looking forward to this match. It has been a challenging season for us and as such we cannot afford to bow down just like that.
“We will fight for the entire 90 minutes and seek to maintain our PSL status.”
The chaos in the relegation race stretches to Harare where Dynamos face a nerve wracking date with FC Platinum.
Kwekwe United are already gone after collecting a miserable 10 points, while PSL debutants Scottland have stunned the league by storming to the title.
