CHICKEN INN say their aggressive recruitment drive is aimed at one thing – winning the league title.

The 2015 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions yesterday unveiled Cameroonian international Ngnowa Hapmo.

He was born on September 29, 1997.

“Hapmo is a 28-year-old Cameroon national team player. He is already in the country.

“Today he was in Kwekwe and is set to join the rest of the squad in Kariba where we are holding our pre-season camp,” said Chicken Inn media officer Brighton Ncube.

Ncube said the club was rebuilding after a disappointing campaign.

“We are restructuring. The truth is we want to restore our pride. We want to win the league championship.

“We have to bring our A game after struggling last season.

“That is why we have signed several players from local clubs, including Scottland FC and Yadah Stars.

“We have also brought in players from outside the country,” he said.

Hapmo was expected to travel to Kariba yesterday to link up with teammates who began a week long pre-season camp in the resort town over the weekend.

Chicken Inn have also secured the services of Vassili Kawe, who previously played for Scottland.

Kawe has worked closely with head coach Tonderai Ndiraya at both Simba Bhora and Scottland , where they won back-to-back league titles.

The Gamecocks have further strengthened their squad with the signings of Innocent Masiiwa from MWOS and Temptation Chiwunga from Dynamos.

Lynoth Chikuwa has completed a permanent move to the club.

The former Highlanders forward joined Chicken Inn on a six-month loan from Scottland midway through last season before sealing a full transfer.
