HOW did Chipaz pull this one off?

The veteran music promoter pulled off an historic feat by managing two mega shows on the same day, the same night in the same city the Sting Cup Clash at City Sports Stadium and Winky D’s show at Alex Sports Club.

The superb level of coordination and delivery demonstrated not only his experience but also the growing capacity within Zimbabwe’s entertainment industry to host such mega events.

It is no easy task to organise one blockbuster show, let alone two on parallel tracks, and the fact that both drew impressive turnouts was a testament to Chipaz’s genius.

Winky D headlined the Alex concert which drew thousands of revellers.

The self-styled “Gaffa” had a good day in the office, serving up hit after hit to an already ecstatic crowd.

The line-up itself was testament to how the Zimdancehall movement has matured.

Rising stars Nisha T, Bazooker, Bling 4 and Saintfloew brought their A-game, ensuring that the show wasn’t just about the seasoned star but also about celebrating the new wave of talent.

KVG and Merciless, who were the masters of the ceremony, flawlessly sailed through their pace.

If Alexandra Sports Club was electric, the City Sports Centre was volcanic.

The Zimdancehall Sting Cup Clash, a show that has grown into an annual showdown for bragging rights, pulled in a massive crowd.

Thousands packed the stadium to witness lyrical battles, surprise acts, and raw street energy at its best.

The highlight of the night came when Mogo Vybes emerged victorious, walking away with a residential stand courtesy of Prophet Kudakwashe Joseph.

It was more than just a prize—it was a life-changing moment that symbolised how art can transform livelihoods.

The month of August closed in spectacular fashion for Harare’s arts and entertainment scene as revellers were spoilt for choice with a flurry of shows that turned the capital into a festival city.

What stood out was not only the variety of events but also the sheer size of the audiences that turned up, signalling a revived hunger for live performance and cultural celebration in Zimbabwe.

August is traditionally a busy month on the entertainment calendar but this year’s ending stretched the limits of imagination and showed how powerful music remains in uniting people across the city.

The Zimbabwe Agricultural Show had a record-breaking attendance on its closing day.

Thousands streamed through the gates, transforming the iconic grounds into more than just an agricultural exhibition space but a hub of culture and entertainment.

Fittingly, superstar Jah Prayzah brought the curtain down when he took to the stage.

The lanky crooner, known for his magnetic stagecraft, gave fans an icing on the cake with a performance that proved why he remains one of Zimbabwe’s most decorated artists.

Song after song, his delivery had the audience in unison, singing and dancing along.

By the time he left the stage, fans were still clamouring for more evidence of his enduring pull and the role such shows play in elevating national mood.

The Zimbabwe Achievers Awards (ZAA) returned home for the first time in fifteen years.

Held at the Manna Resorts, this historic homecoming transformed the awards into more than a ceremony it became a powerful reunion of Zimbabweans who were gathered under the rallying theme “Reimagining Home: The Diaspora and Local Collaboration as Nation Builders.”

The two-day event began with a high-level Diaspora Forum that convened global thought-leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and development partners for strategic discussions on investment, innovation, and inclusive growth.

It culminated in a glamorous awards gala celebrating trailblazers across business, media, arts, philanthropy, and public service.
