Geo Pomona purchases more refuse compactors, tippers, sweepers

Geo Pomona Waste Management has procured 25 more refuse compactors, 16 tipper trucks, 10 skip trucks and five sweepers.

The company’s public relations and marketing manager, Ms Siphatisiwe Masuku, said the trucks arrived on Saturday night.

“They were imported from China and came through Beira,” she said.

Ms Masuku said the arrival of the new refuse collection trucks marks a major step forward in improving waste management across Harare.

“Each suburb, including high-densities will now have dedicated trucks to ensure consistent and reliable collection,” she said.

Ms Masuku said Geo Pomona Waste Management is also rolling out an updated collection schedule designed for greater efficiency and better coverage.
