GEO POMONA Waste Management has expanded its operational capacity following the arrival of new refuse collection equipment.
In a statement, the company said the new fleet marks a key milestone in its mission to deliver efficient, reliable and modern waste management solutions.
“This milestone strengthens our commitment to delivering efficient, reliable and modern waste management for the City of Harare,” said Geo Pomona.
“We are firmly on the road to restoring its proud Sunshine City status.”
The consignment includes 25 compactors, 16 tipper trucks, 10 skip trucks and five sweepers.
Geo Pomona said the new machinery will complement its existing fleet, enabling faster turnaround times, enhanced road cleaning, improved waste collection coverage and a more consistent service across the capital.
The company added that the investment reflects its long-term plan to modernise Harare’s waste management system and improve environmental hygiene across residential, industrial and commercial areas.
The new fleet is expected to be deployed immediately as part of ongoing efforts to clear dumpsites and restore regular refuse collection in the city.
