UPCOMING artist Albert Zinyemba’s new single titled Muporofita is starting to create waves.
It was produced by Dr Carsow at Union Records.
Zinyemba has two albums, Akatendeka released in 2022, and AneNyasha, which was released last year.
The 32-year-old said he was motivated and inspired by a number of gospel artists.
“I was inspired by a number of artists to preach the word of God and these include The Charambas, Pastor Blessing Shumba, Mai Patai and many others.
“To play a guitar l was inspired by sir Alick Macheso.
“As upcoming artists, we face a lot of challenges such as recognition and it’s hard to get airplay if you are not well known.
“We give thanks to social media, it helps us reach some of our fans.
“Some producers are not taking us seriously because we don’t have big names.
“Getting shows is one of the big challenges we are facing and, as upcoming artists, we find it difficult to get a chance to perform on bigger platforms.
“However, we will keep working hard to meet certain standards and God will guide us step by step.”
