Govt dissolves Zinara board

Government has, with immediate effect, dissolved the Zimbabwe National Road Administration board on charges of failure to implement recommendations of an audit report. The fired board is led by Mr Wilfred Ramwi and was appointed by the then Transport and Infrastructural Development Minister Dr Joram Gumbo.

Other board members were Dr Mercy Manyuchi, Mr Aaron Tapfuma, Mrs Lucy Furamera, Goodwell Mapako, Mayor Sifiso Mpofu, Mrs Patricia Bwerinofa, Mr F Ngorora and Mr Aaron Mazingiso.

Transport and Infrastructural Development Minister Joel Biggie Matiza confirmed the dismissal of the board yesterday.
A new board will be announced soon.

“I can confirm that we have dissolved the Zinara board,” he said.
