THE National Association of Secondary School Heads (NASH) Athletics Championships at Harare’s Prince Edward ended Day One on Wednesday with Bakers Inn sponsored Bulawayo Metropolitan a surprise package.

The event ends on Thursday.

Bulawayo were at the end of the day sitting on position four on the 10-team log.

 

Mashonaland West led the standings with 11 gold, 13 silver and 11 bronze.

Second was Harare with 11 gold, six silver and nine bronze.

Third was Mashonaland East with 11 gold medals, six silver and three bronze and Bulawayo had settled for eight gold with four silver and six bronze.

Matabeleland South lay fifth and Matabeleland North ninth.
