Versatile artist Taurai “Gringo Junior” Boora is a true jack of all trades, making a notable transition from acting to music.
A young man of many talents, Gringo Junior is an accomplished actor, scriptwriter, director of ceremonies, stand-up comedian, wedding coach and choreographer.
At 30, the talented star is dedicated to reviving the legacy of his late father, Lazarus “Gringo” Boora, while confidently exploring new musical avenues.
Not only is the popular director of ceremonies venturing into music, but he has also released a gospel single titled “Ndimi Munoziva”.
This project features his new collaborator, Blessing “Mbudziyadhura” Chimhowa, alongside Stanley Jaramba.
The single is complemented by stunning visuals shot by Brighton Magaya of Laktam Photos, highlighting Gringo Junior’s impactful arrival on the music scene.
Gringo Junior’s new single is not only a masterpiece but also truly angelic to the ear.
In an interview with Zimpapers Arts and Entertainment Hub, he emphasised his long-standing desire to pursue music.
“I know people will be surprised that I have another calling in music, but those in my inner circle can testify that I am a man of many talents,” he said. “Music is one of those talents that I have always wanted to pursue, but I had no time. I decided to record this single along with Mbudziyadhura and Jaramba at Carsow Studios in Dzivaresekwa, and here we are with this new release.”
As a devoted member of the Johane Masowe apostolic sect, Gringo Junior revealed that singing brings him closer to God.
“I was raised in a Christian family where I perfected my art of singing. Mambo Dhuterere has also played a significant role in mentoring me, and I am proud of his guidance.
“I am also a member of the Zimpraise Choir, where I have gained considerable knowledge in music.” Regarding the song’s message, Gringo Junior stated that “Ndimi Munoziva” conveys the eternal theme of having faith in God.
“I leave everything to God in whatever I do, so He can guide my path. This song encourages Christians to lead exemplary lives that inspire future generations. This can only be achieved if we stay on the right path and worship the Lord with all our hearts and souls.”
Gringo Junior is committed to preserving his father’s legacy and believes in the power of multitasking. “My late father was known as a multitasking person who touched the hearts of millions before he passed.
“I am following in his footsteps to create my own legacy, managing everything through professionalism and careful planning.
With “Ndimi Munoziva,” he is not only showcasing his musical talent but also delivering a powerful message of faith and inspiration.
