ZIMDANCEHALL star Guspy Warrior is set to release his latest project titled ‘Badman Vibes LP,’ a few days before celebrating his latest birthday next month.
Guspy, whose real name is Emmanuel Manyeruke, told H-Metro that the project would be ready by March 20, just a week before his birthday on March 28.
He said his next album will be ready by October.
“I sing Zimdancehall because it moves me and I started singing dancehall a long way back.
“I am going to launch a Long Play on March 20.
“Dancehall and reggae are what I was doing and I am still doing that now, I know my father does gospel and I believe it’s just art and we are two painters in one family.
“I chose to do dancehall because it’s youthful and I am still a young man and it is something I like not and it’s not that I don’t like gospel,” he said.
He added:
“We all have successes and failures but I like to look at my successes more because they help me to overcome my failures and getting this interview to me is a success.
“Changing people’s lives and touching people’s hearts through music is what I want to continue to do.
“I will try hard to rectify (my mistakes) and I have put some measures so that we uplift the brand because I came through during the analogue time and there was no social media.
“We used to rely on CDs and tapes.”Guspy Warrior praised fellow artists Nutty O and Luckmore Tatenda Munetsi for recognising him as their role model.
“I am a leader and I believe in creating new avenues for the future generations, I used to sing in English and Nutty O sings in English as well.
“Youths doing drugs like dombo, mutoriro, especially artists , should shun that since they are role models to many audiences.”
