Behind every hit song is a producer, the unsung architect who shapes, mixes, and masters the music that moves fans. One such rising star is Lotty Mwale, professionally known as Lott Bee, who is steadily making his mark on Zimbabwe’s music scene.

Since beginning his production journey in 2017, Lott Bee has collaborated with several prominent artistes, including Master Zhoe, Zagoe Radge, Zhezhingtonz, Alvin Amiri, and Boi Shona.

Based in Gwanda, Lott Bee describes music as a daily passion that has fuelled his creativity from a young age.
“I started experimenting with FL Studio and other DAWs in my teenage years. I honed my skills through online tutorials on YouTube, drawing inspiration from genres ranging from Zimdancehall and Afrobeats to electronic music. Producers like Elly Madcool, Fantan, and Mr Chillspot President have shaped my sound,” he said.

One of his standout achievements is working with Chillspot Records on the critically acclaimed project Vafona, a jit-style track featuring Master Zhoe.
“Collaborating on Vafona was a major milestone for me. It was a project that gained recognition and helped solidify my reputation as a producer,” he added.

Looking ahead, Lott Bee’s ambitions extend beyond individual tracks. He dreams of establishing a state-of-the-art studio that will serve as a creative hub for up-and-coming Zimbabwean artistes.
“I want to create a space where talent can be nurtured, where up-and-coming artistes can break into the industry with quality production. That’s my ultimate goal,” he said. – Follow on X @mthabisi_mthire
