GWEVEDZI Redefined are set to share the stage with Mokoomba at Zimparks Gardens in Harare on Sunday.
This collaboration marks the seventh time the two bands will perform together, solidifying their strong bond and mutual respect.
Tinashe William Masangudza, Gwevedzi Redefined band leader, said this was part of their learning process.
“We have been with Mokoomba and they’re like our brothers. This partnership is not just about the music, it’s about learning from Mokoomba’s experiences and expertise.
“We’ll be learning, we’ll be getting a lot of experience from them through talking, through seeing them playing.”
Gwevedzi Redefined are promoting their new album with a show dubbed “Hapararwi paHarare” set for Friday at Theatre in the Park.
Titled “Hope,” the nine-track album is a call for Zimbabweans to reclaim their dreams, ambitions and identity.
“This is a new chapter in our musical journey as we are set to introduce our music to a broader audience and showcase our growth as a band.
“It’s a new season for us.”
