Ward 28 Glen Norah Councillor George Mujajati has commended Geo Pomona for collecting refuse on time and clearing some illegal dumpsites.
In an interview, Cllr Mujajati said residents are appreciating the collecting of refuse and dumps.
“They are coming at the right time and we appreciate that. Even people in the ward are appreciating the help they are getting,” he said.
Cllr Mujajati said three major roads in his ward such as Gumbi, Zvimba and Railwick require patching.
“We still have major problems with roads. We are going to put pressure on the Department of Works to patch using tar and not gravel. Gumbi Road from High Glen to Amalinda Road needs serious patching,” he said.
Cllr Mujajati said there is also a steady improvement in water supply. He said he has initiated projects for people living with disabilities.
“I have given them start-up capital for soap making. They seem to be happy about it. I hope they get a market,” he said.
