A game of hide-and-seek in the Chisuma Village area in Victoria Falls took a criminal turn, resulting in a 25-year-old man being remanded in custody for sentencing after admitting to sleeping with a 15-year-old girl.
Enock Adrian Ndlovu appeared before the Victoria Falls Magistrates’ Court facing charges of contravening Section 70(1)(c)(d) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act.
State papers outlined that on 15 December 2025, the juvenile complainant and her cousins were fetching firewood when they met Ndlovu.
A game of hide-and-seek ensued, during which Ndlovu and the minor hid together.
It was alleged that Ndlovu then propositioned the girl and had sexual intercourse with her once.
The matter came to light when the minor was questioned by a relative about her delay returning home.
A police report was made, leading to Ndlovu’s arrest.
“The accused person, Enock Adrian Ndlovu, willingly and knowingly had sexual intercourse with the complainant once, knowing full well that she is a minor. This is a serious violation of the law designed to protect children,” Prosecutor Mrs Portia Moyo told the court.
Magistrate Ms Linda Dzvene convicted Ndlovu on his own plea of guilty and remanded him in custody for sentencing proceedings, set for next week.
