HIGHRANGE director, Weyne “Boss Webba” Zimunya, believes they have what it takes to win the Harare Province Division Two A and B play-offs against Scottland Academy at Rufaro on Sunday.
The team, which finished on top of the Division Two A league standings, are fighting for promotion into the ZIFA Northern Region Division One Soccer League for next season.
Zimunya who co-owns the team with his brother Kuziva said they are ready for the challenge and they are looking forward to Division One football next season.
“I think we are more than ready for the play-offs. We have a good side that has been doing well in Division Two.
“We have experienced coaches in Sheppard Mudada and Dananai Chinovava.
“The team has been promoting young players and most of them are making waves at Premier League sides like Dynamos’ Vusa Ngwenya and Obey Figa.
“Our aim is to gain promotion and play competitively until we reach the Premier League.
“The team started in 2021 as a way of taking away the youths from drugs and we have grown to become such a big institution.”
Harare Province Division Two chairman, Robert Tembo, said the winner of the showdown between the two sides will play in Division One next year.
“We are finally going to have our promotional play-offs between Scottland Academy and HighRange at Rufaro on Sunday.
“We are looking forward to a competitive match and we hope the team which will win will represent us well in Division One.
“We are confident that the team which will get promoted will not go and add numbers in Division One but rather add value,’ said Tembo.
