OUTSPOKEN South Africa based, fast-rising AmaPiano sensation Black Diva says she has never slept with men to sponsor her music and lifestyle.
The musician said her “haters” have always assumed that she has “blessers” who fund her music including buying views on visuals site, YouTube.
She said the claims started after her debut single Thilo Lilo surpassed one million views on YouTube. The song,. which was released on February 23, this year, features SlimVevo and Rebo Dee and was produced and mastered by Elcee Gweja.

Inspired by the need to highlight the dangers of infidelity and its impact on families and communities, Thilo Lilo fuses infectious African beats with a cautionary message, urging listeners to respect the boundaries of other people’s relationships.
From her base in South Africa, Black Diva — who hails from Insiza District — revealed that she is a hard working young lady who has never believed that a man can be a salvation or a solution to her problems.
“I have seen a lot of comments on social media with people claiming that I am using my body to sleep around with men, in exchange of sponsoring my music and lifestyle.
“I would like to set the record straight as I have never slept with anyone. I am a hard working young lady who believes in herself and who has a massive support structure around her, which is dominated by women,” said Black Diva.

She credited United Kingdom businesswoman Sithule Tshuma as her “blesser.”
Tshuma funded the music production and video shoot for Diva’s latest hit song titled, December.
The song also features another Tshuma’s benefactor, Nkayi-bred folklore musician, Sikhosana Buhlungu.
“I am one lucky girl who has found solace from good hearted women and one of them is Sethule Tshuma. Everything you see behind my brand from recording to visuals, it’s because of Sethule whom I regard as a queen. She is my backbone.
“I have knocked on so many doors but no one opened for me, but she opened not only the door but her heart as well as she adopted me and became my advisor and my guardian angel. She cares and love me unconditionally and she has never judged me,” said Diva.

Meanwhile, Black Diva has received two nominations at this year’s Bulawayo Arts Awards (BAA). She is nominated for Outstanding Song of the Year for Thilo Lilo and Outstanding Newcomer.
In the Outstanding Song of the Year category, she will compete with Emaweni (Bhila featuring Kaykid Umfanomsotho), Bangihlangabeze Ngekhesi (Mxolisi Mr Bones), Soft Life (Amathonga Amahle) and Ungayithi Vuu (Jaycee Mr Ungayithi Vuu).
