Illicit alcohol brewing ‘plant’ owners arrested in Bulawayo

POLICE in Bulawayo have arrested two individuals for allegedly operating an illicit alcohol brewing ‘plant’ in the city.

The pair, a man and a woman, are detained at Drill Hall police station awaiting processing before their first court appearance.

Equipment used to brew illicit alcohol, drums containing ethanol, hundreds of bottles filled with home made alcohol, branded stickers as well as empty bottles were confiscated in the raid that resulted in the arrest of the two individuals.

The pair were arrested at a residential flat on Josiah Tongogara and 2nd Avenue on Wednesday.
