MISS World Zimbabwe Brunette Makanyiso has moved to reassure her supporters that her journey at the 75th Anniversary Miss World Festival in Vietnam is far from over.
This is despite her failing to secure a place in the next stages of both the Head-to-Head Challenge and Talent Challenge.
With the Miss World finale fast approaching, Brunette has urged Zimbabweans to keep believing in her.
And, most importantly, to continue supporting and voting for her as she remains firmly in the running for the coveted Miss World crown.
The Zimbabwean beauty has been receiving strong support from home and across the diaspora since arriving in Vietnam.
She is representing the country in a highly competitive field of national beauty ambassadors.
Although she did not advance through two of the challenge categories, Brunette’s Miss World campaign is much bigger than a single challenge.
The Head-to-Head Challenge gives contestants an opportunity to showcase their communication skills, personality and advocacy.
The Talent Challenge allows contestants to demonstrate their artistic abilities.
However, missing out in these challenges does not automatically end a contestant’s overall Miss World journey.
For Brunette, the focus now shifts towards the remaining stages of the competition and maximising every opportunity to make Zimbabwe proud.
Taking to her supporters, Brunette expressed gratitude for the messages, votes, encouragement and unwavering belief she has received throughout her time in Vietnam.
She acknowledged that the journey has come with its share of highs and lows but said she remains grateful for the opportunity to carry Zimbabwe’s flag on one of the world’s biggest beauty platforms.
“Thank you so much for all the love, support and votes. I truly appreciate every single person who has been standing with me throughout this journey,” Brunette said.
The beauty queen has also urged her supporters not to lose hope following the results of the challenge events.
Her message is clear: the crown is still up for grabs. “Not making it through the Head-to-Head and Talent challenges does not mean the journey is over. I am still here, still representing Zimbabwe and still in the running,” she said.
The statement is likely to calm concerns among supporters who may have assumed that failing to qualify in the two challenges meant Brunette had been eliminated from the competition.
As the countdown to the grand finale continues, attention is now turning to the remaining activities and opportunities for contestants to distinguish themselves.
Brunette has been using her time in Vietnam not only to compete but also to experience the country’s culture, cuisine, heritage and hospitality alongside contestants from around the world.
From cultural excursions and culinary experiences to challenges and networking opportunities, the Miss World Festival has offered the national ambassadors an intensive experience designed to test much more than physical beauty.
For Zimbabwe, Brunette’s participation has also provided an opportunity to showcase the country, its culture and its people on an international stage.
Her supporters have been following her journey closely on social media, celebrating her appearances and encouraging her to remain focused as the competition enters its crucial final stretch.
The Miss World crown will ultimately go to the contestant who manages to combine beauty, intelligence, purpose, communication and impact — qualities that the competition has continued to test throughout the festival.
And Brunette is refusing to let the setbacks define her campaign.
With the finale looming, her message to Zimbabweans is simple — keep the faith, keep supporting and keep voting.
The Head-to-Head and Talent challenges may have closed one chapter, but Brunette Makanyiso still has a chance to write a memorable final page in Vietnam.
