Covid-19 vaccines that Government is procuring with the assistance of international partners and friendly nations would be distributed to the citizens of Zimbabwe for free.

This was said in a statement by Finance Minister, Professor Mthuli Ncube.

The Minister said this while clarifying Government’s position on the vaccine payments saying his comments on the issue yesterday had been taken out of context.

“It has come to my attention that my comments about the payment for Covid19 vaccine have been taken out of context.

“I would like to make it clear that the vaccine that the Government is procuring with the support of our international partners and friends will be made available for free to the citizens of Zimbabwe,” Prof Ncube said.
