THE 2025 edition of the Domestic Tourism Festive Season Campaign launch is set to be hosted in the resort of Kariba this Friday.

This year’s campaign is being held under the theme- “Experience Zimbabwe-Nhaka Yedu, Ilifa Lethu”.

Mr Elyson Chigerwe, a director in the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality, confirmed that Mashonaland West Province and Kariba, in particular, are ready to host this year’s campaign.

Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister Barbara Rwodzi and Mashonaland West Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Marian Chombo will grace the occasion.

“The event is scheduled to take place in the resort town of Kariba, on October 31, 2025, at the Lake Harvest Sports Club.

“The exciting campaign seeks to ignite local travel across Zimbabwe during the festive season, celebrating our shared cultural and natural heritage,” said Mr Chigerwe.

In 2024, Zimbabwe launched the “ZimBho” festive season campaign to promote domestic tourism, building on the previous campaigns.

The campaign is aimed at promoting domestic travel across Zimbabwe and this year’s theme highlights the richness of Zimbabwe’s identity and encourages Zimbabweans to explore and appreciate the diverse experiences that the country has to offer.
