DYNAMOS striker, Jaison Kasondo, believes the team’s captain Emmanuel Jalai was born to lead.
Kasondo became the first Glamour Boy to score in back-to-back fixtures this season after scoring against Kwekwe United and Greenfuel.
He has now racked up three goals since the arrival of Zambian gaffer Kelvin Kaindu.
Kasondo revealed that Jalai has been working overtime to help his teammates to shift into the next gear.
“Jalai has been like a motivational speaker to us because he is always cheering us up every time even when everyone had counted us out,” said Kasondo.
“We sometimes read a lot from the media and most of the things have been negative about us but Jalai has been telling us what it means to be a Dynamos player.
“And, as players, we have realised that if we start getting the expected results we can also get positive news on the same media space.”
Jalai stood his ground like a real leader during their weekend’s victory over Greenfuel when he decided that Kasondo would not take the penalty. Jalai handed the responsibility to Temptation Chiwunga. The last time Dynamos went against their own game plan resulted in Leeroy Mavhunga missing from the spot.
Jalai also denied Denver Mukamba the chance to take a penalty when they edged MWOS at Rufaro.
Chiwunga made no mistake from the spot.
Chiwunga told H-Metro that for a moment he thought Kasondo was going to take the penalty before Jalai handed him the responsibility.
“Kasondo was having a good game and when a striker feels like he wants it he should be trusted sometimes, and I thought it was the moment for him.
“I wasn’t really surprised when I saw Jalai handing me the ball because the coaches have also been insisting that we should stick to the script and it feels good to know that your teammates have great faith in you.
“I want to thank my teammates for having faith in me and it also pushes me to challenge myself to do better every time that I get the privilege to play,” said Chiwunga.
Dynamos resurgence will be tested again when they meet Scottland at Rufaro on Saturday.
