AWARD-WINNING artist Keith Zenda showcased his work at the prestigious Art International Zurich exhibition in Switzerland over the weekend.
Zenda also unveiled his new book, “The Art of Keith Zenda,” at the same exhibition. This year’s event brought together over 50 exhibitors from around the world.
Their work features a diverse range of contemporary art forms including painting, sculpture, photography, digital art and multimedia installations.
His book generated significant interest among those attending the exhibition.In an interview with Zimpapers Entertainment Hub, Zenda said he was also promoting the Zimbabwe tourism industry to Swiss people and other exhibitors and guests.
“It was not only about exhibiting my work but also an opportunity to share the Zimbabwean beautiful places with the Swiss people, promoting our country as an attractive destination for tourists.I have sold so many copies of my new book titled ‘The Art of Keith Zenda.’
“The book tells my story and the African culture and traditional beliefs. “The Zurich International Art Exhibition took place in Switzerland from May 23-25 and I was thrilled to participate, dressing in my African attire designs featuring Zimbabwe’s national fabric.“As a proud representative of Zimbabwe and Africa, I was excited to share our rich culture and tradition with an international audience.”
Zenda is set to exhibit some of his work in New York.
“Born in rural Chirumanzu and based in Lower Gweru, I’m living proof that art can take you places with practice, persistence and patience. “As co-founder of SwissZimHeritage Gallery, I’m passionate about celebrating Zimbabwean art and bridging continents through cultural exchange.
“The exhibition was a resounding success, with international art enthusiasts and galleries expressing interest in partnerships.
“Our booth featured works from Zimbabwean, South African and Indian artists, fulfilling our mission to bridge continents through art. “I’m looking forward to our next exhibition in New York, Hampton, and continuing to share African stories with the world.”
Art International Zurich is a renowned art fair that has been in existence since 1999.
It offers a wide range of contemporary art in various formats and price ranges, making it an ideal platform for discovering new artistic voices.
The event attracts a sophisticated audience, including Swiss private collectors, corporate clients and institutions.
