ZIMDANCEHALL sensation King Alpha Kadiki has a soft spot for vulnerable and disabled children.

He is set to spread some cheer among them at Kadoma Jairos Jiri School of the Blind on November 7.

The 12-year-old, who has been receiving rave reviews for his mature lyrics and growing stage presence, will headline a free show dedicated to the children at the centre.

The performance has been made possible by Kadoma businessman Kosmos Daka, better known as Cossy Rules, who has made it a tradition to celebrate his birthday with children at Jairos Jiri.

Over the years, the businessman has marked his special day by bringing seasoned musicians to entertain the children for free.

However, departing from the norm, Cossy Rules has decided to spoil the children at Kadoma Jairos Jiri with a rare performance by the young chanter.

“I have made it a tradition that I celebrate my birthdays with kids at Jairos Jiri in Kadoma, where seasoned musicians would perform for free,” said Cossy Rules.

“With years in the game, I have decided to bring cheer to our children by inviting King Alpha Kadiki as the headline act on my special day.

“It would be nice for children at the centre to be entertained by fellow youngsters who are still in primary school.

“I dedicate my day to them, and I want to see children at Jairos Jiri happy.”

The philanthropist has vowed to continue making children happy, particularly those from less privileged backgrounds.

“I have also noted that the day, which belongs to children, must be used as a platform where kids can enjoy themselves.

“I also don’t want to steal all the gloss when the day belongs to the kids.

“We might enjoy our successes as business executives, but we should not forget the poor or less privileged ones who need our love.

“I have made it a point that I would rather enjoy my birthday with them,” added Cossy Rules, who turns 45 on November 4.

Kadiki’s manager Edmond Kagodora confirmed the show, adding that the young chanter has a soft spot for the less privileged.

“It’s confirmed, and we are going to perform there. We are ready to make the kids happy,” he said.

The manager recently told Zimpapers that Kadiki, whose maturity is way beyond his age, was a marvel to work with.

“We started from the very bottom together. He possesses a rare charm that has made him a universal favourite, and his obedience is matched only by our close bond as cousins.

“Whatever aura he projects on stage is a direct result of the structured grooming I have given him.”
