ZIMBABWE Women’s Cricket team, the Lady Chevrons are set to embark on a training camp in India ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier in Nepal.

The Lady Chevrons are according to team manager Caroline Nyamande, scheduled to leave Harare today.

While in India, they will also mix the training camp with some warm up matches.

During their time in India, the Lady Chevrons will face Thailand and Mumbai State in preparation for the tournament.

Zimbabwe qualified for the Global Qualifier after winning the Africa Qualifiers, beating Uganda in the semi-finals and Namibia whom they convincingly overcame in the final, posting a nine-wicket victory.

But there is no doubt that the competition will now be stiffer in Nepal.

The Global Qualifier will feature 10 teams, including Nepal, Thailand, Bangladesh, and Ireland, with the top four teams advancing to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in England and Wales.

The Lady Chevrons are now looking to build on their momentum as they prepare for the Global Qualifier, which will feature a round-robin stage followed by a Super Six stage and a final.
