COMEDIAN Learnmore Jonasi’s exploits at America’s Got Talent (AGT) made him a darling to many comedy lovers in Zimbabwe and abroad.
This increased the demand for his services and his Bulawayo faithful were waiting to see him perform on 23 August at the Large City Hall, something that won’t happen…this year.
The AGT finalist’s “Learnmore Jonasi Coming from America Show” will go on without him, though, as the organisers, Umahlekisa Entertainment, announced changes to the show.
In a press statement, Ntando Van Moyo said Jonasi won’t be coming next month.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of the Learnmore Jonasi Comedy Show. This has been necessitated by unforeseen circumstances in global foreign policies that have made his travel not possible at this time. We will however, be hosting him in the near future when conditions permit. We apologise for the inconvenience caused,” read part of the press statement.
As consolation, Moyo, who will host the gig, announced Jonasi’s substitutes, South African comedy acts, Khanyisa Bunu and Siyanda Maphumulo, who will be flanked by local acts, Zwe Hlabangana, Ble Mutandwa, Mbongeni Ignatius, D’Juni, and General Lesley. – Follow on X @MbuleloMpofu
