SONGSTRESS and actress Lee McHoney is slowly finding her feet as she has returned to the music scene with a single up for release in October.

Yet to be named, the track is a collaborative effort with Msiz’kay and will be out to the public on October 20.

It’s been over a year since Lee McHoney dished out new music to her fans, with the last release being Meet Again.

In an exclusive interview with Zimpapers Arts and Entertainment Hub, Lee McHoney said the upcoming track is a healing alternative Afro pop song where she picks herself up after she had to stop doing music due to a miscarriage.

The songstress launched her acting career during the COVID-19-induced lockdown, where she played Mai Noku on the hit online series Wadiwa Wepamoyo.

“The upcoming track is about my transformation life story where l am reentering the music scene, showing my growth from the hiatus.

“When COVID-19 happened, everything changed. I got new responsibilities, I had a baby, and lost her at birth. Then I had my son the following year, and I’ve been trying to find myself again,” said Lee McHoney.

She said that after the single release, hopefully, she will start doing more collaborations and shows.
