A GUEST Lodge employee was arrested for booking six students, who were in uniform, in rooms at the lodge for sexual activities.
Christabel Muchemwa, 36, of Royal Guest Lodge, booked three male students of Pathway College in various rooms with their lovers, who are students at Excell College.
They were charged US$20 for each room.
One of the female students, aged 17, had already had sexual intercourse with her lover without protection, when police descended at the lodge, following a tip-off. National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest saying one of the male students is facing charges for having sexual intercourse with a minor.
“Police arrested a woman reported to have booked six students at a lodge in Chitungwiza.
“She is being charged with contravening Section 86 of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act Chapter 9: 23.
“One of the male students is facing charges of having sexual intercourse with the minor.
“Investigations are in progress and the female students have since been referred to hospital for medical examinations,” said Comm Nyathi.
When H-Metro visited the lodge, it was established that the female students were all in uniform and the male students had school trousers and their school tracksuits were stashed in their satchels.
The students hired a taxi to the lodge.
One of the lodge’s employees told H-Metro that the taxi driver tipped police over the shenanigans soon after he had dropped the students.
“The students were dropped by a taxi driver and we want to believe that he is the one who tipped police.
“Our rooms are charged US$20 during the day and the same amount during the night while the best rooms are charged US$30 during the day and the same amount during the night,” she said.
She showed us the rooms which were booked by the students.
