LUCKY FOR SOME

PADDY POWER have sensationally paid out on Arsenal to be crowned Premier League champions – despite the fact there’s still 39 points up for grabs.

The Gunners moved nine points clear of Manchester City at the summit after their win over Sunderland.

Martin Zubimendi opened the scoring before a Viktor Gyokeres double sealed the win.

And Paddy Power have made the bold call to give Arsenal backers their winnings well ahead of schedule – with a staggering 13 games still to play – while also landing a dig on arch-rivals Tottenham.

A spokesperson for the bookmaker said: “We can’t promise this will stop Arsenal fans from fretting online about every single referee decision that doesn’t go their way being part of some great big conspiracy.

“But hopefully it will put a few minds at rest in North London at least.

“It would take a cock-up of Tottenham-esque levels for the Gunners not to win the Premier League title from here. Surely nothing can possibly go wrong now, right Arsenal fans?”

Arsenal were third-favourites to be crowned champions ahead of the season getting underway.

Paddy Power also offered an early pay out on Celtic to win the Scottish Premiership earlier this season.

But that decision appears to have backfired because the Glasgow giants are trailing table-toppers Hearts by six points.

Paddy Power also made a call they lived to regret last term – thanks to Everton maintaining their top flight status.

The Irish bookmaker paid out on the Toffees to be relegated after just TWO GAMES – Sun.
