Zimbabwe’s beauty queen Lyshanda has touched down in Thailand for the 2025 Miss Universe pageant and she’s already stealing hearts with her grace, poise, and humility.
Making her debut on the global stage, Lyshanda says she feels “right at home” as she settles into the glamorous world of international pageantry.
Speaking upon arrival, Lyshanda could not hide her excitement and gratitude after a smooth check-in and warm reception from the Miss Universe organizing team.
“The check-in process in Thailand has been absolutely seamless and truly heartwarming,” she said with a glowing smile.
“I have settled in well and already feel a strong sense of belonging. The Miss Universe environment is both inspiring and vibrant, and I cannot wait to meet the rest of the queens from across the globe.”
She added:
“This being my first international pageant, I am deeply humbled and profoundly grateful to have been entrusted with the honour of representing Zimbabwe on such a global stage,” she said. “It is an opportunity that comes once in a lifetime, and I regard it with utmost reverence and gratitude.”
Lyshanda’s humility and spiritual grounding have already made her a standout among the early arrivals. She credits her preparation and personal growth to the mentorship of her board and directors back home, saying the journey has “shaped her into a more resilient and purpose-driven woman.”
As more contestants from across the world begin arriving in Thailand, the atmosphere at the Miss Universe Village has become a buzzing hub of beauty, culture, and anticipation.
Delegates from Latin America, Asia, Africa and Europe have been seen checking in, with organisers rolling out a world-class hospitality package that Lyshanda says is “second to none.”
“I have been received with overwhelming warmth and professionalism, and I can confidently affirm that the Miss Universe hospitality is exceptional,” she shared. “From the moment I arrived, every aspect of my experience has reflected the organization’s commitment to excellence and inclusivity.”
The Zimbabwean queen also shared how faith and discipline continue to guide her every step. “Throughout this life-transformative journey, I have learned that dedication, precision, commitment, determination, and humility are essential pillars of success,” she reflected. “Above all, my faith has been my greatest anchor.”
Looking ahead to the busy weeks of rehearsals, fittings, and cultural activities, Lyshanda says she is ready to carry Zimbabwe’s flag high with pride and authenticity. “I believe that the most powerful way to market Zimbabwe on the global stage is through authentic representation,” she said. “Every interaction, costume, and performance I present is an opportunity to tell Zimbabwe’s story to the world.”
As the Miss Universe spectacle begins to unfold, all eyes will be on Lyshanda the humble yet fierce queen who’s determined to put Zimbabwe on the global map with elegance, confidence, and faith.
