BULAWAYO musician Ma9nine, who rose to fame as the first artiste to perform Zimdancehall in Ndebele, has once again demonstrated his versatility by reintroducing himself with a Jiti track titled, Ngikhiphe Yonke.

The song, produced by Mzilikazi-based T-Flow the Producer, comes with crisp visuals shot and directed by multi-award-winning cinematographer Rasquesity of Keaitse Films. Adding a humorous twist to the video, popular comedian and socialite Sipho Mercent Nyathi plays a frustrated husband whose wife denies him his conjugal rights, leaving fans in stitches.

The single has already struck a chord with music lovers, amassing over 20 000 views on YouTube in just four days. Even during Ma9nine’s recent performance in Inyathi, Matabeleland North, fans were vibing to the track, a clear sign that the new sound is resonating.

In an interview, Ma9nine said experimentation has always been central to his music.
“I’ve always approached music with an open mind, eager to try something new to find the best sound for Bulawayo – something people will cherish. I’ll keep experimenting and trying new sounds because I enjoy challenges,” he said.

He said that Ngikhiphe Yonke is Jiti music done in Ndebele, a bold move that pushed him beyond his comfort zone.
“In composing it, I pushed myself to the limit to do what some might have thought was impossible. I’m really happy with the support and positive feedback from my fans – they are vibing with the new sound,” he said.

When asked if fans should expect more Zimdancehall from him, Ma9nine reassured them of his versatility.
“I’m a very versatile artiste, and I believe my creativity is unmatched. Today, I’ve done Jiti, tomorrow I could do Rhumba. My identity is rooted in Zimdancehall, but experimenting with Jiti is a way to reach new fans and expand my audience. I’ll return to Zimdancehall in due course, but for now, I’m bringing more Jiti songs,” he said.
