SUNGURA legend Alick “Baba Sharo” Macheso and Zimdancehall star Jah Signal are set to bring the party to Matabeleland South this weekend, with performances lined up in Gwanda and Beitbridge.
Tonight, Gwanda’s fast-rising artistes Msaigwa, Freddy K and Rich Flavour will entertain revellers, with MC Kay One hosting the show. DJs Virus, Mbobstar, Keitho, Skot Mangena and SKB will keep the party going on the decks.

On Saturday, Baba Sharo and Jah Signal will head to the border town of Beitbridge, where they will headline the fourth anniversary celebrations of Pagomba Cafe. The event is being organised by events promoter and nightclub proprietor Tapiwa “Gandz” Gandiwa.
Hosted by MC Kay One and The Edutainer, the Beitbridge show will also feature Limpopo Pogba, Mapisendege, Ngwere YekuBridge, DJ Keitho, Uncle Teddy, DJ Vic Gee, Sekuru Stavoh and DJ Sandile.
DJ Keitho, who is involved in organising both events, said the shows were part of efforts to celebrate the progress made in creating opportunities for local artistes.
“For the past four years, we have been pushing the agenda of giving a platform for local acts to showcase their talent in Beitbridge, Gwanda and Bulawayo. The journey is just starting as we want the creative sector players to fulfil their potential as viable business models.
“We celebrate the achievements over the past couple of years with one thing in mind, being a breakthrough for our local talented artistes,” said DJ Keitho.
