Rhumba lovers in Bulawayo are in for a rare treat today as two of the genre’s heavyweights share the stage in a first-of-its-kind double album launch.
Clement Magwaza and his Macrey Super Sounds are set to unveil their latest offering titled “Indoda YiUmbrella”, while fellow crowd-pullers Insimbi ZeZhwane are dropping their new project “Infundamakhwela”.

The double launch is expected to draw fans from across Matabeleland and beyond, as both acts enjoy massive followings in the rhumba fraternity. The event not only celebrates new music but also honours the competitive yet respectful spirit that has long defined the genre.
Magwaza, known for his high-energy stage presence urged people to attend the event in numbers to be part of the live action.
For Insimbi ZeZhwane, this will be their first major release since the. death of co-founder Elvis “MaEli” Mathe in 2023.
The group said Infundamakhwela marks a new chapter of healing, continuity and honouring the group’s legacy.
“This album is emotional for us. It is both a tribute and a statement that Insimbi continues. Fans have been waiting — today we give them the sound they love,” they said.
The launch event is scheduled for later today at a city nightspot, with organisers expecting a full house. – Follow on X: @mthabisi_mthire
