South African gospel powerhouse Dr Winnie Mashaba is set to grace Tatenda Mahachi’s live recording and album launch at the 7 Arts Theatre in Harare this Friday.
Dr Mashaba arrived in the country on Wednesday evening ahead of the launch that also marks a special moment in Mahachi’s musical journey.
The two gospel stars previously collaborated on their single titled- A Friend in 2022.
“We are ready, and the excitement is building up.
“Hosting this live recording means a lot to me because it’s not just about the music, it’s about creating a space where people can connect with God in a powerful way,” said Mahachi.
Dr Mashaba’s presence adds a strong regional appeal to what promises to be an exciting live recording session.
Mahachi said preparations were in their final stages and that everything was in place to deliver an unforgettable night of worship and prayer to remember.
“Having Dr Winnie Mashaba joining us again is a great honor.
“She carries such a deep ministry and passion for worship. Her presence will remind me of the beauty of collaboration and how music can bring believers together across borders,” said Mahachi.
Artists expected to perform at the launch include Baba and Amai Charamba, Sabastian Magacha, King David (Baba Harare), Kuda Mutsvene, and Jonah Chivasa.
Mahachi promised an evening filled with heartfelt praise and inspired performances.
“Everyone involved has poured their heart into this. The team is ready, the music is ready, and we’re looking forward to seeing lives transformed through song,” he added.
