THE Outcry Experience turned into an unforgettable moment of raw emotion when host, Minister Micheal Mahendere, paused the worship to honour the woman who shaped his life, his mother.

What began as a powerful night of praise suddenly shifted into a deeply personal encounter that left the audience in tears.

Mahendere spotted his mother seated in the middle of the venue and immediately stopped the programme. “Munondikwadzisa. Handisati ndambogumburana namai vangu. Mama please come sit here front,” he said, his voice cracking as he wiped away tears.

The crowd fell silent as ushers escorted his mother to the front.

Mahendere spoke about honour, obedience and gratitude, stressing that his ministry was rooted in his mother’s prayers.

“Zvese zvandiri, ndakazviwana neminamato yamai vangu,” he said.

The moment reached its peak when Mahendere announced that he was gifting his mother a car.

It was a powerful reminder that beyond the music and ministry, Outcry Experience was a living sermon — teaching that true worship begins with honouring one’s parents.
