A 39-year-old Bloomingdale man was on Wednesday arrested for allegedly raping his girlfriend.
Tapiwa Chivinge allegedly raped his 27-year-old lover once without protection.
Chivinge had visited his lover at around 5am.
He knocked on the window and she opened the door to let him in.
He sat on the bed, started kissing her while demanding sex at the same time.
She rejected his demands.
He allegedly forcibly undressed her, raped her and left the room.
“The lady was surprised by the early visit and she opened the door assuming that Chivinge wanted to check if she was alone.
“She reported the rape leading to Chivinge arrest,” said a source.
The case was reported at Dzivarasekwa Police Station under RRB 697660.
