A 46-year-old Chitungwiza man was on Monday arrested for allegedly killing his wife following a domestic violence.
Tonderai Nyamhute had a misunderstanding with his wife Fravelin Chinondo, 36, over money issues on Saturday.
He then assaulted his wife with an unknown object and she became unconscious.
Fravelin was rushed to a hospital where she was admitted and discharged the following day.
On Monday, her condition worsened and she died on way to the hospital, leading to Nyamhute’s arrest.
Fravelin’s body was taken to Chitungwiza Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
Provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, could not be reached for comment.
However, H-Metro is reliably informed that Nyamhute was detained at St Mary’s Police Station under RRB 67997453.
