A 21-year-old Domboshava man was found dead in a parked car in Graniteside, Harare on Wednesday.

Jairos Nzvimba of Mandaza village’s body was found lying in the car with a charcoal stove by the side and still producing heat and smoke.

Jairos, owner of Laxline Panel Beaters, is believed to have been warming himself after fixing the headlights of his client’s Toyota Quantum.

His assistant panel beater Samuel Kasambwa, 26, left Jairos at around 9pm on Tuesday.

“He told me that he would sleep in one of the cars in the garage once he had finished fixing the headlights of the Toyota Quantum.

“On Wednesday at around 0700 hours, I arrived at work and found him lying on his back across the driver’s and passenger’s seats of a white Honda Ballade which was also parked at the garage for repairs.

“I tried to wake him and realised that he was not showing any signs of life covered with a blanket,” said Samuel.  The body of the deceased was taken to Sally Mugabe Hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem and the case was reported at Braeside Police Station under RRB 6940517.
