A MAN is on the run after allegedly raping and impregnating his 14-year-old daughter.
Sources say he had been raping her since October last year.
He would threaten that he would stop paying her school fees if she rejected his savage sexual attacks.
He separated from the girl’s mother, who married another man.
Sources told H-Metro that the heinous act came to light when her maternal aunt discovered her pregnancy symptoms.
The father disappeared, after learning that the case had been reported, and his whereabouts are not known.
The abuse took place at a rented one-room in Newlands, Harare.
“During the month of October 2025, the father went to Mhondoro Ngezi where the complainant was staying with her maternal grandmother.
“He took her for a holiday after her Grade 7 examinations.
“The two came to Harare where the father was staying in a one-room.
“On the first day after their arrival, he approached his daughter whilst she was bathing, saying she was his child and he could do whatever he wanted with her.
“He then raped her without protection after some threats.”
The sources added:
“In January 2026, she returned to her rural home in Mhondoro Ngezi where her aunt suspected pregnancy and confronted her.
“She disclosed the rap and was taken to Harare and her father disappeared.
“She was escorted to Parirenyatwa for medical examinations.”
National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi could not be reached for comment.
However, H-Metro can reveal that the case was reported at Highlands Police Station under RRB 6780400.
