Speaking from City’s pre-season training base in Austria, Mancini said: “I am delighted to be able to give all of my efforts to Manchester City for a further five years. City’s interim chief executive officer John MacBeath said: “This agreement allows Roberto to focus on the challenge of guiding a team which is capable not only of
defending the Premier League title but one which can compete for European honours.”
As City’s players awaited confirmation of Mancini’s deal in Austria on Monday, captain Vincent Kompany insisted it was time to stop celebrating the title triumph and focus on building upon their success.
He said: “We have laid the foundations and now we want to win more. If we do that then we can be one of the most successful clubs for a long time to come and that is the aim.” — Mailonline.
